Musée de la vigne et du vin d'Anjou

The Musée de la Vigne et du Vin d’Anjou presents the history of Anjou wine production since the phylloxera crisis which led to the reconstruction of the entire wine region.
The items and documents that are exhibited in the five rooms of the museum (wine production, wine, cooperage, wine press, ...) will introduce you to the world of Anjou wine, and will help you to understand the life of winemakers as well as their work and character.
A twenty-minute slide show will end your visit.

The Musée de la Vigne et du Vin d’Anjou was created in 1978. Its president is Mr. Pierre CESBRON. The building and the collections belong to the Layon-Val d’Hyrôme municipal community.

- July and August : Everyday from 11 AM to 7 PM - from 1st of April to 30th of June and from 1st of September to 31st of October : opened on saturdays and sundays from 2:30PM to 6:30PM - Groups may arrange visits by appointment year round.
